After the wild winds of last week the course was littered with loose timber from the trees so there were many trips to the dump today. The course was busy with a lot of vets players which added to the project difficulty.

On hand we had Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Kevin O'Brien, Sam Knox, Garry Trigg, Steve Hogg, John Hollebon, Andy Henebury, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were tree maintenance including removal of a large broken branch on the 11th, hedge maintenance, loose timber and rubbish removal, bricking up of the dam wall on the 3rd; clubhouse maintenance, cleaning of the bush toilets, watering and stick pick up at the greenspace gardens, tidy up of the 6th tranquility garden, weeding at the 6th gardens, watering the pots at the 6th, bike garden, ladies 9th tee garden and the 9th green, clean up of the 3rd and 5th tees, clean up of the tees and fairways 1st the 4th, tidy up of the centre garden at the 10th tee, watering the gardens at the 1st and 10th tees and pots in the wedding garden including pick up of sticks tidy up of the 13th tee.

We earnt our morning tea goodies today after a hard morning's work.

We had a great day for the 66th Nagger's Cup - Our playing partners were Matt Carroll and Caroly Buttsworth who kept us entertained with some great golf including three birdies  and missing out on the on the major DeFacto Event by a fraction of a point. Our best highlights were Carolyn's birdie set up with a great chip in on the third and the 8th Hole where Matt put his drive 57 cms from the hole for an easy birdie.

Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow shrubs flowering beautifully at the 6th Tee.

Tibouchina Shrubs given a good cut back at the 1st Tee to enable them to reshoot from the bottom plus to control the height of growth so the 1st Tee is not hidden from the Pro Shop.

We had a productive day at F-Troop today enabling us to get through some good projects.

On hand we had Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Sam Knox, Kevin O'Brien, Terry Coyle, Clyde Cruickshanks, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Andy Henebury, Di Beechey & Jan Martin.

It was a great week on a beautiful golf course in really good weather.

We had some very proud winners during the week but we topped off the week with Peter Martin winning the Overall Champions trophy.

It was a very enjoyable week with great company and the Hawks Nest Golf Club made us very welcome.  The course was in excellent condition and left no excuses for bad scoring.

- Bob was winner of the A Grade Men's Singles with a beautiful 42 points and Ann won a ball coming in 5th in Ladies A Grade - We all won balls in the team event and Peter won a ball for 3rd place in B Grade.  It is hard to get good help sometimes - so I will not discuss my score.
