Front of gardens at the Mens 2nd Tee
We had 15 volunteers today for F-Troop which was excellent for this time of the year.
The course has been covered in leaves, bark and loose timber from windy weather so there has been a huge clean up in the car park, on the course and the gardens.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Kevin O’Brien, Trevor Harrison, Rob Benson, Mick Grant, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, John Hollebon, Frank Potter, Bev Way, Lyn Bates, Carolyn Buttsworth, Laurelle Freeman and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were blowing of the front car park and picking up leaves and rubbish from there; blowing of the back of the clubhouse and picking up the rubbish and leaves there; trimming of potted Lilly Pilly at the putting green where the pot had fallen over including cutting off the root of the plant where it had grown through the pot and lifting the pot back up (with difficulty); loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course; hedge maintenance at the 18th including removal of rubbish; repairs to the gate at the 10th hedge; filling in of pitch marks on the fairways; tidying the garden at the 2nd Ladies Tee and the 3rd and 5th gardens; finishing off the weeding of the 2nd Mens tee Garden and cleaning up the path area; cleaning of the 14th Bush Toilets, dead heading agapanthus at the 14th garden; garden hose out to the 2nd Ladies tee for garden watering.
It was a hot day so we appreciated our morning tea of fresh sandwiches.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
