We had a rest day from golf today so elected to have a long lunch at Mums Restaurant at Tea Gardens with Bob and Ann Morris (previous Gosford Golfers) and we enjoyed a lovely rain free day

Meanwhile at Gosford …..

I have heard that there has been more rain.

There were no carts allowed on at Gosford today but we did have some enthusiastic golfers willing to try out the elements.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford.

We had 60 starters.

Hello from beautiful Hawks Nest.

Hawks Nest Golf course was at its best today after a huge amount of rain the previous few days even up to just before we teed off this morning. The rain was gone and the course was dry - not even any wet shoes.  It is a gem of a course in wet weather because it recovers so quickly regardless of the amount of rain. All the bunkers were in play.

We had a great day with many of the Gosford group featuring in the winners circle. I not only won a ball, but Peter and I won a golf ball each in the 2Ball + Peter came in 2nd in C Grade ….and yes - I finished with the same ball I started with.

Meanwhile at Gosford……

Things were not so great with no competition golf played today.

Golf - Monday 6th May 2024

At Hawks Nest Golf Club - filling in time on a rainy day. The course was closed today as was Gosford so no golf to report on today. 

Tomorrow sounds more promising and we hope to be able to get carts on at Hawks Nest. 

Golf - Sunday 5th May 2024

 Hello from not so beautiful Hawks Nest where we have had pouring rain for most of the day. Golf tomorrow for the first day of the Myall Classic has been cancelled due to the weather conditions. There has been much more rain here than at Gosford and local areas are flooded.

Meanwhile at Gosford the rain has continued with showers keeping the carts off.

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley Single Stableford.

We had 15 starters with 1 visitor from Eastlake.

We had 104 starters with 3 visitors from Western Pirates and Breakers.
