I

We had a surprisingly good day of golf at Hawks Nest given the weather forecast that started with light showers at 9 o’clock as we started out, followed by more light showers and heavier showers, then back to light showers and ended with sunlight with humidity and the followed with more heavier showers after we finished.

Our playing partners were Steve and Jane Wall from Kiama Golf Club  and we were in awe of Jane and Steve’s Golf skills. They were great company and we enjoyed playing with them.

My highlights were a 4 pointer on the 1st and my low light was an air swing somewhere ( which was intended to be a great chip shot to the pin). I did finish with the same ball I started with.

Meanwhile at Gosford….

Nothing much happened in the Ladies Golf due to bad weather. The greens were under water so pretty much everyone baled out after continued wet weather.

Hello from beautiful Hawks Nest!

We had a great day of golf today on the beautiful Hawks Nest Golf Course. It was in good condition with the only conditions of play being a drop off the newly dug tree roots along the edge of the fairways and bare patches on the fairways otherwise it was play as it lies.

Carolyn Buttsworth won nearest the pin at the 5th.

Peter Martin won the nearest the pin at the 16th.

Annette Cross won nearest the pin at the 10th.

Gosford had some really good results and we are looking forward to the rest of the Summer Classic.

Meanwhile at Gosford…..

There was no competition golf played.
