Celebrating Robyn Johnston’s 80th Birthday at the Clubhouse today
We were so unlucky with the weather today with showers continuing for most of the morning getting so heavy that most of us only got in nine or ten holes before giving up. The water was starting to cover some of the greens and the showers were getting heavier. It was a shame because the committee had put in a big effort to make it a good fun day.
As we did not finish a decision was made to have no winners, but to return $3 to every person who went out on the course and a draw was made to hand out all the balls that would have been won. The raffles were drawn and we had a celebration cake for Robyn Johnson’s 80th birthday.
We enjoyed lunch of fresh sandwiches and chips so the day was not all lost.
Congratulations to the committee members for a well organised day and pity about the weather.
