Gosford hosted Maitland today for our first Masters Pennant match for 2021. What a great bunch of blokes and all the matches were played in a good spirit. Several of the Maitland players commented on Gosford’s great layout and that they really enjoyed their time in the trees.
It was a very close contest that could have gone either way but our number one Duncan Brown sank a clutch putt on the last to win his game 1 up and secure a 4 all draw. Good wins also to Tony Callaghan and Michael Crookes and a couple of squares to Steve Mann and myself.
Next week Maitland will host us and we are looking forward to the return game. Hopefully we can go one better
