After all the dire warning of hot weather it was not all that bad with some nice breeze to help us get through the morning.

My playing partners were Robin Incoll, Lauren Matterson & Lynn Puiatti and we enjoyed the morning on the Village Green.  Staring early was a good idea as we finished before the severe heat set in.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford in 3 divisions.

We had 54 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Judy Verlander enjoyed good company and had 4 x 3 pointers in a row; Glennis English & Doon Delaney were consistent players; Sheena Asken had a birdie on the 6th; Lorraine Bignall drove well; Kim Cardiff was an improved player and had a gobbler 4/4 on the 16th; Vicki Foster had 3 x 3 pointers and enjoyed sharing the cart with Carolyn Buttsworth; Kerry Williams survived the day; Elizabeth McNamara played a steady game and had 3 x 3 pointer and enjoyed good company with Rae Brown & Annie Brink; my highlight was enjoying good company and finishing with the same ball I started with.
