F-Troop - Monday 24th November 2014

We are getting some nice steady rain as I am writing this post - that will be a welcome relief if we manage to get a decent amount of rainfall over the course.

We were all flat out this morning at F-Troop with many projects lined up for us.

On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge, Peter Martin, Rob Benson, Don Nicholls, Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.

The Tree Gang of Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge and Don Nicholls trimmed the low branches from the tree at the 6th Tee and undercut trees on the 16th Fairway.

Peter Martin & Rob Benson removed builders rubble from underneath the new window work at the front of the club, picked up lavender offcuts from the 16th, cleaned up the tees at the 7th and 8th, repaired the protective fence at the front steps, fixed up some signs for the Ladies Parking area, fixed up a leaking tap at the front of the clubhouse.

Di Beechey and Carolyn Buttsworth cleaned up the front car park and underneath the clubhouse, watered at the 18th tee gardens and Camellia Way, re potted the ponytail plants underneath the clubhouse, painted the outdoor furniture a new modern blue, watered the wedding garden area and helped to clean up at the 10th tee garden.

I worked at cleaning up at the Bush Toilet Area and watering the gardens there, finished trimming the lavenders at the 16th tee, trimmed the lavenders at the 10th tee and tidied up and watered the garden there, renewed the support stake on one of the Iceberg Roses at the Putting Green.

We managed to beat the heat for most of the morning but morning tea of banana muffins was very welcome after a hard mornings work - Thank you Chef Brad!

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
