We had a magic day for the Ladies Invitation Day at Gosford today. The weather and the course was beautiful and everyone had a great day.
My playing partners were Cheryl Davison, Rae Brown & Yvonne Cumming and we had a good fun day with plenty of highlights - the best of which was a gobbler from Yvonne at the 7th after she over hit the green and then chipped it into the hole and a 4 pointer from Cheryl at the 12th after a good chip onto the green.
The Golf Event of the day was an Invitation Day - Team Stableford.
We had 91 starters with visitors from Terrigal, Kooindah, Everglades, Wyong, Shelly Beach, Belmont, Morisset, Magenta, Nelson's Bay (Club of non-whingers),
The Event was a Team Stableford - one score of the par 3's, 2 scores on the par 4's and 3 scores on the par 5's. Players could invest in some escapes (ie free drops, kicks, throws & replays) for a donation of $5 and/or pay a $2 donation for the Pro (Mitch Ballard) to hit their drives off the 10th Tee. (just in case you were wondering about the massive scores)
