The Annual General Meeting of the Club was held on Tuesday 23rd September at 7.00 pm.
The Outgoing Board was:
Dan Bosley, Peter McCabe, Col Matterson, Peter Martin, Mark Stimpson,Russ Davidson, Ron Puiatti, Sheena Asken and Dan Snelson.
The Incoming Board is:
Matt Snelson, Peter McCabe, Col Matterson, Peter Martin, Mark Stimpson, Russ Davidson, Ron Puiatti, Sheena Asken and Dan Snelson.
The Acting CEO is Courtney Flores following the resignation of Steve Drach.
Congratulations to all Members on their election to the Board and we are looking forward to 2014/2015 being a good year for the Club.
Members may have noticed some action at the front of the Club where the Links Room is having new and larger windows installed after the recent repairs to the room ceiling. This maintenance will effectively give the club a much better room for rental purposes as well as a more attractive front entrance to the club. This is just one of the positives for this year.
Another positive that came out of the Meeting was the Board's addressing of the parking problems we are suffering at the club. President Ron Puiatti announced that the Club has negotiated a lease with the Gosford Council for the back car park, side entrance and Victoria Oval. The legalities are yet to be set in concrete and the methods of controlling traffic in a sensible way are yet to be put in place - but that was certainly music to our ears. Previously the Club had no legal rights over the parking area and was not in a position to put controls on vehicles wishing to use the car park. We can all look forward to a big improvement in the near future - so happy days!
