The showery weather did not interfere too much with the F-Troop projects today.
We had 10 volunteers which was good for a rainy day. We had Peter Martin, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Martin Gallagher, Rob Benson, Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.
The drain along the school fence was the major project for the day as the course was busy with Vets players. Duncan, Trevor, Geoff, Martin, Don with the help of Matty from the greens staff on clean up worked well down the fence clearing weeds, fallen timber and dangerous branches. The area is still work in progress but is looking much better already for the clearing done.
Peter & Rob did rubbish pick up around the course and then helped with the clean up at the drain.
Di & Carolyn did some clean up around the clubhouse and gardens prior to attending a committee meeting.
I cleaned up at the Bush Toilets, Ladies 3rd Tee, Men's 3rd Tee, Men's 5th Tee and the Oleander garden that had been taken over by wandering Jew, 5th Tee Gardens, fertilized the Tibouchina trees on the 2nd fairway.
Morning Tea of fresh muffins was greatly appreciated after working in showers all morning. Thanks Chef John!
It was good to see our dams full and the course looking nice and green. The course drainage is working well.
