Golf -Tuesday 10th September 2013

Why would you play golf anywhere else but at Gosford Golf Club - look at all the fun you would be missing out on.

We had a hot and windy day to play in the Pro Shop Day where Division1 played off the Blue Markers and Divisions 2 and 3 played off the white markers in a stroke match.  With a lot of run on the course we surprised ourselves at times at how much we could cope with the extra distance.  My playing partners were Lyn Cruickshanks and Judy Verlander and we had a lot of fun even though some of the golf was not great.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stroke - Pro Shop Day.  This event was not handicapped as we played off the blue (Div 1) and white markers (Div2 and Div 3).

We had 60 starters with one visitor - Norma Cubis from Wyong.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Lyn Cruickshanks parred the 5th and the 8th; Debbie Grinham birdied the 15th (off the blue markers); playing towards the end of the field I did not have time to gather many highlights so I will report myself for a fine for arriving at the golf course with the wrong set of golf clubs after having misplaced my car keys prior to leaving home and had to use the spare key.  I had to drive home and get my right clubs and while there spotted my missing car keys where I had left them on the edge of the garden - and that was just the start of my day.

Things looked up post golf when we enjoyed a Pre Wedding celebration in the Sunset Room for Debbie Grinham.  A good time was had by all as the photos indicate.
