F-Troop - Monday 9th September 2013

Is there no wonder that we have so many happy birds
enjoying our native gardens with some magnificent
flowers on display

Our F-Troop Crew this morning was small but our enthusiasm was big which meant that we could achieve some really good work.

We had a few off sick and away on holidays etc so on hand was Duncan Dyer, Peter Martin, Rob Benson, Warren Gray, Don Nicholls and Jan Martin.

The course was busy with a big Charity Day for the Kidney Foundation which restricted our use of the course so we concentrated mainly on clean up.

Warren Gray & Rob Benson did pick up duty around the course - and there was plenty of that.

Duncan Dyer & Don Nicholls filled two trailer loads with Bunya Pines and fallen rubbish at the 17th which was a big job and much needed.

Peter Martin cleaned up the entrance driveway at the back of the club, BBQ area & watered the underneath pot plants and gardens around the front steps.

I cleaned up the rubbish left lying in the back car park, trimmed the yellow hedge at the 10th tee and removed some parts of the hedge that had reverted to the root stock, cleaned the bush toilet area and watered the gardens there, planted in some Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow plants at the 6th that had been grown and donated by Bert Jordon, watered the bike garden and some new trees on the 3rd; watered the wedding garden, cleaned and filled the bird bath, watered the pot plants & hosed out the wedding gazebo.

We all enjoyed our morning tea of giant Chelsea buns - Thanks Chef John!

We achieved much for such a small crew of troopers.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
