F-Troop - Monday 5th September 2011

We had a busy, busy day at F-Troop today with all hands putting in a good morning's work.  It was great to have 15 volunteers this morning to lighten the load and we did manage to get some good work done.

On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Garry Trigg, Des Wilson, Bruce White, Warren Gray, Peter Martin, George Foster, John Coddington, Mark Stimpson, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Jan Walker, Yvonne Wilson, Jan Martin & Geoff Bridge (acting supervisor while he is recovering from surgery).

The tree gang were on clean up duties today picking up timber from last week's cut at the 2nd.  The bees were still at the Coral trees so no further trees were cut today.  After the timber pick up the boys did some shrub trimming on the 11th & back of 10th.

Warren Gray & John Coddington were on pick up duty cleaning up piles of rubbish & loose timber around the course.

Peter Martin & Garry Trigg did some trimming of the camellias at the 11th and the lilly pilly tree at the 1st green.  Peter, Garry & Warren got a couple of trailer loads of garden soil & topped up the garden at the Men's 10th tee so that we can put in replacement climber plants..

Di Beechey and Anne Burgess cleaned up the back car park, tidied up the garden at the back of the men's 10th tee, collected some mulch and mulched the garden at the front steps.

Jan Walker cleaned up the gardens at the front of the clubhouse and the wedding garden.

Yvonne Wilson gave the Gardenias some TLC tidied some gardens at the front of the club and also the garden at the 15th tee.

After morning tea Peter, Mark, Di and myself collected some more mulch for the garden at the 6th.  Mark & Peter spread the mulch at the 6th garden.

Morning tea was some delicious enormous muffins - thanks Chef John!  We all worked hard and morning tea was appreciated.

It was good to have some extra helpers today so that we can churn through our list of jobs.

YES!  WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
