As previously reported the Wedding Expo was held at the Club on Sunday 30th January 2011 and was a resounding success. I have attached some photos taken of the outside of the club on the day showing the wedding gardens and surrounds that were "on show" on the day.
My congratulations and sincere thanks to Di Beechey in particular for all the hard yards that she has put into keeping things ship shape in my absence and also to Anne Burgess as support crew to Di. They both did a magnificent job, above and beyond the call of duty, not only for the garden and surrounds preparation for the Wedding Expo but also for the daily maintenance to the gardens during the extreme hot weather of last week. We have not lost many plants thanks to Di, Anne and the rest of F-Troop who all contributed to the club garden maintenance over the last couple of weeks. I expect the heat damaged plants to respond in the cooler weather and make all of their hard work worthwhile.
