The weather turned out today to be very acceptable for golf with a nice breeze to keep away the flies. The course was in good condition with our main challenge being the pin placements that were set for the CCDGA Champion of Champions that was being played ahead of the field from the 1st tee.
Our Event was played off the 10th tee and our playing partners were Bruce & Leeanne Binns who were great company. The Keno ticket was the focus of our game & the boys were one up after the second last hole. Leeanne and I challenged for a "double or nothing" on the last hole which ended up with a square result.
We decided that we should share the ticket which ended up paying us back the cost of the ticket - so a fair result.
The Event of the day was a Medley 2 Ball Team + Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.
We had 88 starters with 3 visitors from Everglades and St. Georges Basin.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Arthur Haviland had a birdie at the 8th; Anne Forrester had 36 points with 2 wipes; Terry Coyle had birdies at the 10th and the 14th; Doreen Trigg had to wait on the 9th green for a turtle to move off the green and then went on to score 5/3; Cyril Daly had 4/4 on the 17th after a chip over the bunker and a one putt; Wally Johnston had 4/4 on the last hole; Warren Gray had 44 points including a birdie on the 1st; Leeanne Binns had 4/4 on the 7th; Bruce Binns' highlight was rescuing a wayward turtle on the 9th green and putting him back in the dam; Wally Robertson celebrated his birthday today.

C GRADE WINNER: Joe Scafidi (Morisset) - 92
JUNIORS WINNER: Jarrod Hayes (Toukley) - 74 after a playoff with Alex Pitty (Wyong).
Jarrod won after the 21st hole with a 20 foot birdie putt.
