Today was the first day of spring and what a magic day it was. We had a great turn up for F-Troop including a welcome to first day as an F-Trooper to Gary Sammons. Our troopers included Clyde Cruickshanks, Martin Gallagher, Des Wilson, Bert Brink, Warren Gray, Peter Martin, Doug Incoll, Spencer Walklate, Neil Hancock, Noel Fenning, Duncan Dyer, Gary Sammons, Garry Trigg, Yvonne Wilson, Mary Bromwich & myself.
We got a lot of work done which included tree trimming, mulching, fertilizing, weeding, filling in of trenches.
It was reported to me that the frog on the water feature in the BBQ garden has been stolen yet again and also this week some mindless person put detergent in the water of the water feature.
Make sense of that!
On a positive side we have had a lot of complimentary comments directed to F-Troop members which is appreciated. It is nice to know that our work is not going un-noticed.
F-Troop will be on again next Monday for anyone who has a few spare hours. Meet at the Greenkeepers shed at 7.30 am or whatever time you can spare. There is a lot of raking up to do (among other things) so bring a rake if you have one. Monday is a Charity Day (Kidney Foundation Golf Day) so there will be players on the course. Work will be reduced to working in areas that do not interfere with the golf day.

NOTE TO MEMBERS: NEW BLOG SITE
I have created another blog to record club daily events which will be for the benefit of non-members as well as Members. The events are basically the same as what is in our programme of Events book but also includes social events in the clubhouse & other items of interest (eg Golf Clinic days). The benefit of keeping events on the blog is that it can be edited and updated at any time for changes that may occur from the written Programme of Events book. To view this blog there are several alternatives. If you are already logged onto one of my blogs you only need to click on "view my profle" which will take you to a page that lists all of my blogs at the bottom of the page. Just click on the blog you wish to view. Alternately you can type into your top "http" address line in your internet Explorer http://www.gosfordgolfclubeventslist.blogspot.com/ Once there you can 'right' click your mouse and add that blogsite onto your favouries or create a short cut from your desktop if you think you will use the site regularly.
