Today was the third round of the championships.
The field is starting to take shape for a good finish on Thursday.
The championship results today were: 1st Division : Sheena Asken gross 86, nett 73, Yvonne Bean gross 87, nett 71; 2nd Division Jan Martin gross 91, nett 66, Norma Presdee gross 92 nett 70. Third Division Carmen Fitzgerald gross 71, nett 224, Susan Bourne gross 107, nett 76, June Bowen gross 118, nett 74.
Championship results to the end of the third round :
1st Division -Sheena Asken gross 258, nett 219; Yvonne Bean gross 272, nett 224.
2nd Division - Jan Martin gross 279, nett 204; Norma Presdee gross 297, nett 231
3rd division - Nerida Hancock gross 327, nett 234; Carmen Fitzgerald gross 332, nett 224; Val Iseppi gross 337, nett 226.
Highlights reported to me today were: Rita Gilmore - par on the 8th; Margaret Davidson - par on the 15th; Sharon Anderson - 4 pars on the day and two nearest the pins on the 8th & the 14th; Norma Presdee - a gobbler on the 14th for 2;
Lyn Puiatti - a birdie on the 12th for 2; Susan/Jenny Bourne a gobbler on the 15th.
