Garden at the 2nd Green Garden - weeded and cleaned up by F-Troopers Laurelle Freeman and Jan Martin including planting in of some new plants

The summer temperature is lifting up so it was a good idea to start early before the serious heat arrived. Bev Way arrived at 5.30 am to start the clean up of the car park and back of the clubhouse. Our starting time is 7.00 am until 10 am. Great effort Bev.

The course was very busy with Vets players today so there was no competition golf.

We had 14 volunteers today which was a huge help towards getting our projects done.

On hand were Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Rob Benson, Mick Grant, Don Nicholls, Dave Medcalf, Peter Martin, Bev Way, Leeanne Binns, Lyn Bates, Carolyn Buttsworth, Laurelle Freeman and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were a big clean up of the front car park and back of the clubhouse; tidy up of the BBQ area gardens; tidy up of the 18th gardens and paths including mowing the grass areas; loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course; filling in of pitch marks on the fairways; tidy up and watering of the ladies 2nd tee garden including planting in of new plants; weeding and tidying the garden at the 2nd green garden including planting in new plants; tidy up of the garden at the 5th tee including removal of dead oleanders; tidy up of gardens at the 5th ladies tee; watering gardens at the front of the clubhouse; cleaning of the bush toilets.

Morning tea of fresh sandwiches was very welcome after a hard mornings work.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE !
