We had a good number of volunteers today to work on our projects and we worked our way between a field of Vets players on the course.

On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Rob Benson, Mick Grant, David Medcalf, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Bev Way, Leeanne Binns, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin. Giving us moral support at morning tea were Ron Gowing, Kevin O’Brien and Carolyn Buttsworth.

We welcomed Kevie back for morning tea while he is still in recovery mode.

Projects worked on today were delivering mulch to the 6th tee; trimming of trees on the 6th tee; spreading mulch and weeding on the 6th native gardens; a start made on the weeding of the 6th tranquility garden; a start made on the weeding of the 4th ladies tee garden; tidy up and watering of the ladies 2nd tee garden and a start made on weeding the mens 2nd tee garden, blowing of the front car park including removal of leaves; blowing the back of the clubhouse; mowing the grass along the walkway 17th to 18th tees; pickup of loose timber and rubbish around the course; removal of camphour Laurel tree shoots from the practice nets garden; removal of rogue palm tree and weeds from the 15th mens tee; pick up of weeds removed from the gardens.

We all put in a hard mornings work and enjoyed our morning tea of fresh sandwiches.
