F- Troop Morning Tea - Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Mick Grant, Kevin O’Brien, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, (John Hollebon, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin)
After such a hot day yesterday we were happy to have some cooler weather to work on our projects.
We had 11 volunteers which was great to see as we are still all in holiday and babysitting mode.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Kevin O’Brien, Don Nicholls, Rob Benson, John Hollebon, Peter Martin, Mick Grant, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were Loose Timber and rubbish pick up around the course, Tree maintenance, Hedge Maintenance, clean up of gardens on the 2nd tee, weed maintenance at the 16th lavender garden, more work done on tidy up of the streletzia garden at the 15th, repairs to fence on the 18th fairway.
A special mention to John Hollebon today who worked up ladders today working on hedge maintenance all morning and did not have time for morning tea. Well done John!
I was sad to see two of our new lavender plants on the 16th have disappeared. I especially purchased with F-Troop funds a pink and a white lavender plant to enhance the area.
We welcomed Mick Grant as a new member of F-Troop today. We tested him out on the loose timber pickup around the course. We hope he comes back again next week.
Morning Tea of fresh sandwiches was very welcome after a hard mornings work.
