We were all very ambitious today - keen to get on with our assorted projects while the weather was good.
The proposed Working Bee to put new sand into the bunkers was a fizzer as the sand did not arrive. Our thanks to those Members who did turn up to help with the project.
On hand today we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Rob Benson, David Medcalf, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, John Hollebon, Ron Gowing, Bev Way and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on were Loose Timber and rubbish pick up around the course; Firewood preparation; Hedge maintenance; tidy up of paths from the Clubhouse down to the 1st and 10th tees, practice greens and nets; tidy up of the paths from the 17th to 18th tees, watering garden at the 18th tee; finishing the clean up of the drain from the 6th to the 14th creek; weeding the garden at the Men’s 3rd tee and cutting back the hydrangeas in the hope of getting a good display for Christmas.
We enjoyed morning tea of fresh sandwiches in beautiful sunshine.
