Sunshine at last…. But still no heavy equipment or carts on the course
We had 11 volunteers today which was great considering all the rain we have had and the difficulty in getting out on the very wet course.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Rob Benson, Frank Potter, Peter Martin, Nigel Asken, Ron Gowing, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were loose timber pick up around the course (on foot); firewood preparation and delivery, tidy up of paths from the BBQ area through to the 1st and 10th tees including the Wedding garden and practice nets, planting in of a new agave garden at the BBQ Area, weeding gardens at the BBQ area, weeding gardens at the front of the clubhouse and around the putting green, removing weeds from the dams.
Fresh sandwiches for morning tea were very welcome (thank you Lee) - we all put in a good mornings work.
