It was a much cooler day today which made it perfect for golf.  There was a bit of wind but not enough to interfere with our golf shots.

Our playing partners today were Neville and Jan Walker who were great company and we had some good highlights the best of which was a birdie from Peter on the 2nd.

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley Single Stableford.

We had 57 starters with 4 visitors from Terrigal, Everglades and Nambucca Heads.

WINNER: Josh Ryan - 43 points

RUNNER UP: Kevin O’Brien - 41 points

3RD: Gail Williams - 40 points on a countback

GROSS STABLEFORD WINNER: Josh Ryan - 29

B GRADE:

WINNER: Jeremy Raftery - 40 points

RUNNER UP: Wally Robertson - 39 points

3RD: Debbie Smith - 36 points

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me - Kevin O’Brien had a nice 41 points including a birdie on the 15th and a great rescue club 2nd shot to the 11th green; Kay Baillie had 20 points a5 the turn; Tania Walklate had 5/4 on the 18th; Spencer Walklate and Gary Baillie were steady golfers; Rhonda Robertson had 20 points on the back 9; Carolyn Buttsworth wishes everyone a Merry Christmas; Wally Robertson had a 3 pointer on the 9th and a plover on the 13th; Ray Buttsworth hit a shot from the 6th Fairway that flew past us on the 4th; the Turner’s and Crosses had a fun day with some very uncanny shots the best of which hit a tree on the 16th and finished up two feet from the green; Peter Martin got a nice birdie on the 2nd; Jan Walker had a good 3 pointer on the 17th; my highlights were getting more than 30 points and finishing with the same ball I started with.
