We had a lovely cool day for golf today so we had a good day on the Village Green.  Our playing partners today were Owen and Fran James who were great company. We did have some good highlights during the day - the best of which was Fran’s Gobbler birdie on the12th.


The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + 2Ball Aggregate Team.

We had 69 starters with 6 visitors from Wyong, Barnwell Park, Forster- Tuncurry and Shelly Beach.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Fran James had a beautiful birdie on the 12th with a gobbler putt into the hole as well as some great 3 pointers for a good score of 39 points; Owen James has some great chips to the hole from impossible places; Brent Frewin had 39 points including 3 birdies; Anne Forrester had a nice 39 points; Jan Walker on the 16th hit her drive, then her Second shot to the left  near a tree, her 3rd shot near the big tree on the right of the fairway and the chipped into the hole for 4/3 and then followed that up with 4/4 on the 17th; Mark Stimpson birdied the 2nd; Rob Parry had 44 points including a birdie at the 14th; Wally Loschi had a par; Wally Loschi hit only 1 fairway off the tees; Kevin O’Brien had a birdie at the 16th; Brian Robinson birdied the 2nd and had 39 points; Lindsay Freeman was a good scorer; Joyce Bosely played 18 holes; Geraldine Turner had a 4 pointer; Carolyn Buttsworth had 3 pars; my highlights were playing with good company, getting 1x 4 pointer and some good 3 pointers and finished with the same ball I started with.
