There was a lot of action on the Village Green today with the 4th and Final Round of the Men's Championship in conjunction with a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies. Our playing partners were Nigel and Sheena Asken who were great company and we did enjoy some good birdies from Peter, Nigel and Sheena.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Duncan Brown (Club Champion) had 4 birdies;
Kevin O'Brien nearly had a hole in one on the 5th with the ball clipping the flag and yes, he did get the putt for a birdie; Lauren Smith had 4/4 at the 9th; Darren Bateman was a steady player; Brian Rand kept the ball in play; Graeme Wright had birdies at the 2/10/15th; Tony Cosentino holed out at the 16th from behind a tree and had 4 birdies on the back 9; Rhonda Robertson enjoyed a good day after a comeback after injury and had a nice 33 points; Peter Martin had a birdie on the 12th; Nigel Asken had a birdie on the 14th; Sheena Asken had a birdie on the 5th; my highlight was enjoying good company and getting two 3 pointers in a row.
