We had a great day for golf today on the Village Green. The weather was not as cold as predicted so we enjoyed our day. Our playing partners today were Michael Cheetham & Karen Askins and we had a great day enjoying the sunshine and some good highlights - the best of which was a 4 pointer from me and from Karen, who is a new player to the game, scored five three pointers.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Women + 2B Team Stableford.
We had 70 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Karen Askins had five 3 pointers; Carolyn & Ray Buttsworth enjoyed good company; Carolyn Buttsworth had a birdie on the 5th; Ross Drakeford had birdies on the 10th and the 14th; Doreen Trigg played nice steady golf for her 36 points;
Di Beechey had three pars; Sally Hopkins had a birdie on the 10th; David Hopkins had birdies on the 2nd and 3rd; Fran James had a birdie on the 16th; Lorraine Bignall had a birdie on the 8th and won nearest the pin; Kevin O'Brien had a birdie on the 14th and the 12th and won nearest the pin; my highlights were coming in 3rd place, scoring a 4 pointer at the 12th, having no wipes and finishing with the same ball I started with.
