It was a nice surprise to have such a nice day to play golf today after all the dire forecasts over the last few days.
Our playing partners were Neville and Jan Walker and we had a very enjoyable day in the sunshine on the Village Green. We did have some highlights with Neville scoring some good 3 pointers and a birdie on the 14th.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + Medley 1 x 2 x 3 Team event.
We had 64 starters with 3 visitors from SGA, South West Rocks, Shelly Beach.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Neville Walker had 2/4 birdie on the 14th, 4/3 on the 15th, 3/3 on the 8th; Peter Martin had 21 points on the front 9; Garry Trigg had 2 birdies and 2 pars on the front nine; Lauren Smith had a 4 pointer on the 10th; James Smith had a birdie on the 8th; Paul R. Smith won nearest the pin on the 12th; Duncan Dyer scored a nice 39 points including a 4 pointer on the 18th; Wal Bailey is on his way back; Leonie Kelly-Margin had her best score ever today; Tania Walklate won nearest the pin on the 8th; George Foster chipped in for a par at the 2nd and survived his day with his harem; my highlight was enjoying a day on the Village Green in the sunshine but sadly I did not finish with the same ball I started with. 😢
