How good was it today to be able to get out on the Village Green and with carts as well. The Blue sky and sunshine continued all day which will help to dry out the course which is gradually recovering from the heavy rainfall. The name of the game today was to stay on the fairway where there was no trouble - the rough was muddy in patches and not a good place to be.
Our playing partners today were Ray and Carolyn Buttsworth who were great company. We did have some highlights - the best one of which was Ray's 4 pointer on the 6th.
The Golf Event of the day was a Medley 1 x 2 x 3 Stableford + Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.
We had 58 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Ray Buttsworth had 4/4 on the 6th; Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin both parred the 14th; Tania Walklate was an improved player; Spencer Walklate had a birdie on the 14th; Owen James turned with 20 points; Fran James played some good approach shots; Duncan Dyer said it was good to finish; Cheryl Davison had a gobbler on the 13th; Paul Scholberg enjoyed good company; Lauren Smith had a birdie on the 15th; Clyde Cruickshanks had no wipes; my highlight was enjoying the day in the sunshine with good company and pity about the golf.
