Caterpillars that almost destroyed all the plants

The course was very busy today with vets players but we were able to get some good projects done.

On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Kevin O'Brien, Geoff Bridge, Steve Hogg, John Hollebon, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

The projects worked on today were removing a dangerous tree at the 1st green area, cutting up the tree and then splitting the timber to add to the firewood stock; adding more garden edge boards to the 6th native garden; weeding the front street garden; collecting loose timber and rubbish from around the course; removing nuisance fireweed around the course; cleaning up the BBQ area; watering and tidying up the 1st and 10th tees; cleaning the 14th bush toilets; watering the green space garden; tidying the 6th tranquility garden; watering the potted plants; tidying up the 3rd Ladies Tee; watered the bike garden; watered the 9th Ladies Tee garden; spread some mulch on the garden at the 18th tee; weeded at the 17th dog leg garden; weeded at the 13th Ladies Garden; watered pots in the wedding gazebo; trimmed the red hedge at the 10th tee.

We appreciated our morning tea after a hard mornings work.  Thank you Barto!

Some of our keen members worked on after morning tea preparing more timber for firewood stocks.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
