We had a great working day at F-Troop today with eleven volunteers on hand to help out.

We had Trevor Harrison,Duncan Dyer, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Rob Benson, Garry Trigg, John Hollebon, Steve Hogg, Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.

The tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Garry Trigg and  Steve Hogg were working without the benefit of the tractor and trailer and managed to achieve some good results in removing the dead vine from the safety fencing at the 10th tee, trimmed the Lilly Pilly on the 10th, checked the Racecourse Road boundary fences for holes, trimmed the clubhouse gardens and undercut some trees on the fairways. 

Rob Benson did rubbish pick up around the course.

John Hollebon worked on the hedges at the 1st and 10th tees.

Peter Martin and Don Nicholls repaired some of the broken fences on the 18th boundary, took a trailer load of mulch to the front street garden, painted some of the car parking areas and took care of maintenance in the clubhouse

Di Beechey and Carolyn Buttsworth worked on cleaning up the clubhouse area, BBQ area, car park and Wedding garden area, helped to spread out the mulch and tidy up at the Front Street garden.

I worked at cleaning at the 14th Bush toilet area including watering the gardens there, watered the pots at the 6th and tidied up the 6th tranquility garden, tidied up the Ladies 3rd  tee, watered the newly placed elk horns at the 4th green, watered the new madevillia at the 9th tee, watered the pots in the Wedding gazebo and tidied up the gazebo, finished trimming the front street garden and getting it ready for mulching. 

Morning Tea was very welcome as we all worked hard all morning.  We enjoyed savoury breads, donuts, slices and cakes - Thank You Barto!

We found quite a number of break-in holes in the boundary fence on Racecourse Road so that will be the next big project for us so that the course security can be kept intact.
