Congratulations to Lyn Bates who has taken out the 2015 Ladbrokes World Masters Golf 56-65 A Grade competition played 25th to the 31st October 2015. Well done Lyn - what a super effort!

The Golf Event of the day was a Teams Event - 1 score to count + Single Stablefordfor Men and Ladies.

We had 61 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Carolyn Buttsworth had a birdie 2/4 at the 8th hole and won nearest the pin; Sandra Coyle had 4/4 on the 13th; the group of Cruickshanks, Brink and Dekker all got pars on the 8th 5x 3 pointers and 1 X 4 pointer; Ian Hartley had 4/4 at the 13th; Lynda Hartley and Kathy Small had one good nine each; Jan Walker had 4/4 at the 4th; Mary Bromwich had a gobbler at the 2nd and 4/3 at the 15th; Neville Walker had 4/3 at the 4th; Alan Wilks had a birdie at the 14th and had 41 points; 

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:


Mia Sullivan (7 years old) running in first - daylight second

Lynda and Ian Hartley's grand daughter - Mia Sullivan ( 7 years old) won all of the athletics races for her School Sports Carvival in Tasmania including the skipping competition.  Well done Mia!


DATES TO REMEMBER:

Club Presentation Night - 5th December 2015 - free to playing Members, $35ph for social or non members. As well as a delicious meal we will be entertained by "Oak Road" the very popular band from last year - so book a table with your friend now and wear your dancing shoes.


Nine and Dine - Friday 20th November 2015 - this was a very popular event last time and stay on for the club raffles and Member Draw which currently stands at something like $2,800.  You need to be at the club at the time of the draw to win - so it is well worth the effort to stay on an increase your chances for a win. (Many Members have sadly missed out by not being there)



MELBOURNE CUP DAY FOR MEN AND LADIES:

8.30 SHOTGUN START - Ladies hit off the 1st Tee and Men hit off the 10th Tee. Lunches from $9.90
TAB facilities are available at the club and each player will receive a free sweep ticket as well as additional sweep tickets being available on the day.  Happy Hour(s) for your enjoyment at the bar.
