Thankfully the weather fined up today but the course was too wet for us to take out heavy equipment so we found jobs off the course to keep us busy.

We had eleven volunteers today - on hand were Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Rob Benson, Kevin O'Brien, Geoff Bridge, Peter Martin, Garry Trigg, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.

The tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge, Kevin O'Brien and Garry Trigg completed the huge job of undercutting the trees along the fenceline of Racecourse Road. They managed to stockpile 10 trailer loads of offcuts.

Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Carolyn Buttsworth combined well to remove the white ant riddled timber panelling in the clubhouse stairwell. They also had to remove wallpaper and glue to prepare the wall for painting.  Di and Anne had also cleaned up the car parks and the BBQ area.

I busied myself out at the bush toilet area, cleaning and tidying the paths and gardens, tidied the Tranquility garden at the 6th, weeded the garden behind the 5th green, tidied up the 1st tee area including the water feature.

We appreciated morning tea after a hard mornings work - Thanks Barto!

The weather looks like fining up now so some hot weather tomorrow will help to dry out the course.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
