A new red hedge for the 4th Tee (same as the 7th Tee)

For a very hot long weekend Monday we did very well to have 10 volunteers turn up which gave us a chance to get some good projects done before it was too hot to work.

On hand was Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Phil Harrison, Zorro Sorridimi, Rob Benson, Geoff Bridge, Kevin O'Brien, Peter Martin, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.

We had use of the tractor today which allowed the tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Phil Harrison, Kevin O'Brien and Geoff Bridge to finish clearing the wood at the 18th fairway and remove a couple of large branches that had come down on the fence line behind the practice nets. Zorro also helped out with removing weeds at the 4th tee garden.

Rob Benson and Peter Martin helped with the new garden soil for the hedge plants at the 4th Tee, mowed the grass at the front street, connected the water system at the 4th tee so we could water in the new plants.

Di cleaned up round the clubhouse and the BBQ garden, cleared out weeds at the garden at the 4th Tee, planted in a new azalea plant and checked the water feature at the clubhouse.

I worked on the garden at the 4th Tee, helping to plant, fertilise and water in the plants, cleaned up at the 14th Bush Toilets, checked the tranquility garden at the 6th, watered the pots in the gazebo and at the 1st tee and checked the water feature there.

By 10 o'clock it was really starting to warm up, building up for a really hot day. Being a public holiday we organised our own tea and coffee supplemented by some pies and sausage rolls from the Pro Shop.

Our thanks today go to Michael from Savanah Lawns and Gardens for supplying and delivering the hedge plants for our 4th tee and as a bonus Michael also planted and fertilised the plants.  Thank you Michael!

Our thanks and appreciation go to the RSL Club Social Golf Club for their donation of $200 to go towards our F-Troop projects.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
