Spring is happening and plenty of work to be done as everything will now start growing in the warmer months.

The Green Staff were doing course maintenance today so we were restricted with our use of the tractor. We can always find other things to do and luckily we had enough volunteers to get some projects done.

On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Rob Benson, Geoff Bridge, Peter Martin, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

We went as a group to pick up two wooden structures and some sleepers that were donated to the club by Duncan Dyer.  These can be put to good use around the course - Thank you Duncan!

After that the boys did some tree maintenance and cleaned up the gutter on the 8th fairway.

Di and Anne planted some azaleas at the small garden at the 2nd and then cleaned out the garden at the back if the 5th green.

I worked at the 14th Bush toilets, cleaning up the area, weeding, watering and fertilising. After that I cleaned up the fireweed growing at the 13th dam, watered and fertilised all the potted plants, the wedding garden and the gardens at the 1st and 10th tees.

This morning we were rewarded with a huge morning tea, scones, cream and Jam from the kitchen and savoury bread and cakes from Barto.  Thank you very much Luke and Barto!

YES!  WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
