Front car park raked and tidied up

Front street garden trimmed and weeded

Tap at the 10th tee replaced

Practice nets cleaned up and re-tied.

We were not deterred by heavy vehicles and carts not being allowed on the course and easily found other projects that did not require us to be on the course.

We had 12 volunteers today giving us the ability to get some good jobs done. On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Rob Benson, Geoff Bridge, Peter Martin, Kevin O'Brien, John Hollebon, Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

Given that we could not get on the course to do tree trimming the tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Trevor Harrison and Kevin O'Brien delivered two Loads of firewood to clients. Kevin also cleaned out the drain near the out of bounds at the 18th.

Rob Benson and John Hollebon trimmed the front street garden, cleaned the car park, did the hedges at the front steps and the garden in front of the clubhouse, cleaned out the garden on the school side of the club entrance,

Peter Martin and Don Nicholls helped with the timber delivery, replaced a tap in the garden at the 10th Tee, and then combined with Rob and John to work on the practice nets.

Di Beechey cleaned up the front car park, helped with the front gardens and with Carolyn Buttsworth's help did some clean up jobs in the clubhouse.

Anne Burgess tidied up the BBQ Garden, checked the water features and did some weed poisoning.

I tidied up the back car park, worked in the front street gardens with John and Rob, trimmed out the dead strelitzia flowers, tidied up the magnolia garden, trimmed some shrubs. In total we filled four garbage bins with rubbish.

Morning tea of iced fruit loaf, bacon rolls, croisonts and cup cakes was very much appreciated by the hard working troopers.  Thank you a Chef Alice!

We are looking forward to the course drying out a bit so we can get our on course projects done.

TOMORROW'S GOLF:

I understand that carts will be allowed on for the Ladies Golf tomorrow.  Caution is encouraged whilst driving carts - take care not to enter very wet areas as carts may well get bogged.
