Golf - Friday 24th March 2015

F-Troop Morning Tea - There were 22 volunteers today - not all of them in this photo.

My apologies to anyone that I have missed - but I believe that our volunteers were Helen Potter, Graham Chee, Ted Jones, Darren Kirkwood, Anne Burgess, Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth, Sue Scobie, Spencer Walklate, Steve Thompson, Zorro Sorridimi, Trev Harrison, Martin Gallagher, Garry Trigg, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Jan Martin, Geoff Bridge, Matt Hanshaw's Dad, Steve Hogg, Don Nicholls, Jeff Rogers.  My apologies for missing Lindsay Morgan who came yesterday.

That was a great response to our appeal for a working bee and we thank every person that has put themselves out to work so hard over the last two days.

I understand the course superintendent David Nicholls is going to open the first nine holes for play tomorrow. Please check with the pro shop if you intend to play tomorrow and they will tell you the state of the course and the playing conditions.

The course was still very wet today but the first nine holes were cleared on the fairways. The back nine is still a mess with a lot of cleaning up to yet to be done and still a lot of large trees down.

Our thanks to Chef Alice and Chef Ranga for some delicious bacon and egg rolls, brushetta and sweet cakes. We were all starving so it all was much appreciated.

We are not working tomorrow being ANZAC Day but we will be returning on Monday to do more cleaning up on the back nine.  If anyone has some spare hours on Monday morning we will be meeting
At the Greenkeepers Shed at 7.00am.

Workers scattered all around the course chain sawing, raking, picking up, cleaning greens

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS - a fantastic job was done by all.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
