Toukley Golf Course in the aftermath of the recent storms

AND WE THOUGHT WE HAD PROBLEMS!

Today we had 18 volunteers for F-Troop which was fantastic.

We were able to do some good cleaning up throughout the course.

Most of the big trees have now been cut up into removable sizes and are in piles around the course waiting to be picked up.

There is still a lot of areas on the back nine that need cleaning up but the overall condition of the course is very good. Those that played over the weekend said the greens are really good but the  fairways were still wet.

At this stage the front nine holes are open for play but there are no carts allowed on the course. Tomorrow there is going to be a ladies competition - single Stableford playing the same nine twice.  There will be no handicapping.

Our 18 workers today worked very hard all morning and really appreciated a morning tea of bacon and egg pie, Chelsea Buns and fresh fruit.  Thank you Chef Alice!

I understand that more rain is on the way later this week - let us hope we do not get too much rain over the village green.

A big THANK YOU to all of our Members who answered the call for more volunteers.  Your help has been invaluable and has helped enormously in getting our course back to a playable stage in quick time.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
