Golf - Sunday 1st March 2015

Who can believe it is March already when the February weather is still here! 36 degrees that felt like 46 degrees followed by an electrical storm, wild wind and rain that brought down a huge branch in the back parking area narrowly missing a car that was parked nearby.  See photos.......

 A lot of work for F-Troop tomorrow! Some extra volunteers to help remove the rubbish from

 the car park would be appreciated - how many of you could put in a couple of hours to help

out tomorrow? We need the car park cleared quickly in the early hours of the morning.

Meanwhile before the storm hit we managed to get our golf competition played in steamy heat.

The Golf Event of the day was a Team Stableford 1x2x3 + Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.

We had 56 starters with 2 visitors from Terrigal.

RESULTS:

TEAM WINNERS: Wally Robertson, Rhonda Robertson, Col Kelly and Alice Diamond - 85 points

MEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Graham Aldcroft - 42 points

WOMEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER: Alice Diamond - 38 points

NEAREST THE PINS:

MEN'S 12TH: Adam Crocker

LADIES 8TH: Alice Diamond

BALLS WENT TO: 

MEN: 37 points (neat)

LADIES: 31 points on a countback

DSR MEN: 70

DSR LADIES: 74

I was not at golf to collect highlights today but I did notice from the results that Alice Diamond was only 12cms from the 8th hole - nearly a hole in one! Well played Alice! Good score to win the Ladies - not to mention the Team Results. Well done to everyone else who finished 18 holes in the extreme humidity.
