Golf - Sunday 7th December 2014








One get's the impressions that the lessons did not help! 



 



We had a lovely day for golf today with the storms everywhere else except at our Golf Course.

Our playing partners were Col & Lauren Matterson and we had a great day with Col & Lauren coming in easy winners of the mixed aggregate and Lauren winning the Ladies Singles.  The boys narrowly beat the girls for the Keno Ticket.

The Golf Event of the day was a 2 Ball Aggregate + Singles Mixed, Men and Ladies.

We had 60 starters with 3 visitors from Dunheved G C, Howlong and Warringah.

RESULTS:

2 BALL AGGREGATE TEAM RESULTS:

MENS:  Terry Coyle & Garry Baillie - 74 points

MIXED:  Col Matterson & Lauren Matterson - 81 points

WOMENS: Sandra Coyle & Kay Baillie - 72 points

MEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER:  Garry Baillie - 42 points

WOMEN'S SINGLES RESULTS:

WINNER:  Lauren Matterson - 40 points

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Col Matterson had a birdie at the 17th; Lauren Matterson had 5/4 at the 10th, parred 10/11/14, had eight 3 pointers; Peter Martin had 5/3 par at the 18th and 3 pointers at the 4th and 5th; Ron Puiatti hit into the water at the 13th and after the penalty managed to get onto the green and sank the putt for a par; Vicki Foster had a gobbler at the 16th for a par; Lynn Puiatti had a gobbler 5/4 on the 18th; George Foster & Ron Puiatti beat the girls for the Keno ticket; Ross Drakeford had 5 birdies in a row; Pauline Norman had a gobbler on the 7th; Michael Norman had 4/4 on the 9th; John Slight had a gobbler on the 8th; my highlight was a gobbler on the 16th and playing twice as good as last Tuesday.



The District Association held it's Annual President and Captains Day as Mangrove Mountain Golf Course today followed by a dinner.  Representing Gosford Golf Club were President Ron Puiatti, Vice President Peter Martin, Captain Mark Stimpson and Vice Captain Col Matterson.
