We had eleven volunteers today which was great for a holiday period.

On hand were Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Rob Benson, Geoff Bridge, Warren Gray, Peter Martin, Zorro Sorridimi, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.

There were a lot of social players on the course today which limited the projects we could do.  We were not daunted as there is always plenty of projects in safe working places.

The Tree Gang of Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison , Geoff Bridge and Zorro Sorridimi took care of the removal of a small tree at the 14th and then cleaned out the gutter along the 6th fairway from the 7th Tee right through the back of the 14th Tee right to the river.  They did a great job and the area is much improved.

Rob Benson and Warren Gray took care of the rubbish removal around the course including a large pick up on garden rubbish at the back of the practice nets. Rob then helped with the repair of the White out of bounds fence at the 18th fairway which is a work in progress.

Peter Martin did rubbish removal around the course and worked on the 18th fence.

Anne Burgess cleaned up the BBQ area and then worked at the gardens in Camellia Way weeding and watering the plants there before helping out in the front gardens.

Di Beechey and Carolyn Buttsworth cleaned up underneath the clubhouse and the car park, trimmed shrubs in the front garden making that area near and tidy.

I cleaned up at the bush toilets and watered the gardens there and tidied the Orange trumpet vines at the 14th tee; tidied up the small garden at the 6th; weeded the garden at the back of the Men's 5th Tee; watered the golf shoe plants at the 2nd, sprayed the hibiscus shrubs in the front gardens, sprayed the Lemon Magnolia at the 18th; partly cleaned up the gutters at the putting green.

We were all ready for Morning Tea after a hard mornings work. We made short work of small assorted slices - Thank you Chef Alice!

It was a very productive day considering we were restricted on the course.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
