NO HANDICAPPING TODAY

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:   Alison Guthrie's team left her with a tad of pressure after both of them went in the water at the 10th. It was no problem to Alison who went on to score a plus for the team and the team finished with a credible Plus 10; Fay Bailey birdied the 11th; Jan Fitzgerald was on the 14th green for one; Lesley Gregory won nearest the pin on the 8th; Leonie Casey played well and her team finished runner up on a countback; Doreen Vines enjoyed great company and felt as though she was playing with Laura Davies and Carey Webb (good team); Sandy Laybutt had some good Plus scores; Judy Verlander was on the card 10 times; Rhonda Robertson parred the 8th and the 9th; Lyn Bates birdied the 1st; Leanne Binns had 5 pluses on the back 9; at the 18th Tee Barbara Stratford's drive hit a tree on the right side, rebounded across the fairway to out of bounds area where it hit another tree and rebounded back towards her at the tee (a good result I would say); Eileen Major played the 10th fairway twice - once while playing the 10th and again when playing the 18th; Yvonne Cumming let her buggy head towards the dam at the 7th and was only saved by the hill in front of the water which tipped the buggy over and stopped it from reaching the water;  Fran James had a birdie at the 5th after a great drive to the green and also narrowly missed nearest the pin n the 8th; Kay Frewin hit the flag on the 15th for her chip in and had a nice par on the 8th; my highlight was enjoying a lovely sunny day and good company.
