Golf -Tuesday 1st April 2014

We had great weather for golf today but the course was still wet underfoot which made it very tough going.

My playing partner today was Sandra Innes who was great company - pity about the golf scores but we did have some good highlights between us. Sandra just missed a trophy on a countback and I won a ball.

The original event set down for today was to be the 2nd round of the CCWGA Brooch however this event has been postponed due to the state of the course to Tuesday 15th April with veterans in conjunction.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford.

We had 62 starters with visitors from Shelly Beach & Wyong.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Sandra Innes had 3 pointers at the 8th and 17th and hit a great shot from out of the trees on the far right of the 16th onto the green; Lynn Puiatti parred the 11th and had a 3 pointer on the 17th; Kath Small had 4/4 on the 9th; Anne Forrester did the most putts that went right around the hole; Alison Guthrie parred the 14th; Norma Cubis had 5/3 on the 13th and enjoyed her visit to her old mates; Lorraine Linnert enjoyed the company of Lyn Cruickshanks and Norma Cubis; Julie Hazzard had 5/3 on the 18th; my highlights were a good putt on the 14th for a par; a good long putt on the 17th for a 3 pointer; a good sand wedge to the green on the 17th for a 3 pointer and winning a ball.
