F-Troop - Monday 20th January 2014

Thankfully we had a cooler day for F-Troop work today.  Unfortunately there was no rain overnight and the course is drying out rapidly.

We had 13 volunteers today which allowed us to make some good progress on our projects.

We had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge, Martin Gallagher, Peter Martin, Rob Benson, Warren Gray, Nigel Asken, Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth, Anne Burgess, Rhonda Robertson & Jan Martin.

Duncan, Trevor, Geoff & Martin worked at the Putting Green area removing Camphor Laurel trees and a bougainvillea.

Warren & Rob were on rubbish pick up.  Rob did a repair job on the side fence of the 18th fairway and Warren helped with the rubbish removal at the putting green area.

Peter set up a watering system at the garden between the 14th & 15th fairways,  mowed the front street area and cleaned up at the putting green area fence.  Peter & Duncan did some maintenance work on the lighting in the Members Lounge.

Anne did some watering of the gardens at the 18th and the BBQ area.

Nigel did some more good work at the 13th dam removing more weed.

Di, Carolyn & Rhonda worked all day on the painting of the lockers in the Ladies Locker Room which is looking refreshed with a new coat of paint and some new furniture.

I worked around the course - cleaning up and watering at the Bush Toilet area, watered the garden between the 14th and 15th fairways, watered the pots in the wedding garden and 1st & 9th, hedged the yellow hedge at the 10th, hedged the small hedges around the 1st and 10th gardens, cleaned up the Wedding Gazebo, cleared some more weeds and overgrown plants at the Front Street Garden, raked up the cigarette butts and rubbish left lying around the non-smoking seating area underneath the clubhouse.

Morning Tea of giant iced buns was appreciated by us all as we had put in a hard mornings work.  Thanks Chef John!

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
