We had a wonderful day for golf today - no rain, some sunshine and blue sky and good company - how good can it get!
Our playing partners today were Alvin & Jenny Clark who play golf socially. Alvin & Jenny were the people we hired the Motor Home from for our Cunnamulla Experience ( Ausventure Quality Motor Home Hire at Erina - www.ausventure.com). We had a great day on the village green enjoying a lot of highlights with Alvin and Jenny playing very well for the occasional golfers that they are.
The Golf Event of the day was a 2 Ball Aggregate + Singles Mixed Men and Ladies.
We had 78 starters with 4 visitors from Terrigal, Taree and Young in addition to social players Alvin and Jenny Clark.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: John Slight finished with the same ball he started with; Sandra & Paul Holmes (Young) had an enjoyable day playing with Peter & Sandy Laybutt and Sandra had a gobbler; Lauren Matterson had a 2/5 on the 12th, 4/4 at the 16th and 4/4 at the 17th; Lorraine Bignall was on the 13th for 2; Kevin O'Brien birdied the 1st; Helen Broadbent drove her buggy into the sand bunker; George Foster had 41 points and beat the girls for the keno ticket; Wally Robertson had 20 points on the back 9 after 2 wipes and including 4/4 on the 17th; Spencer Walklate did not find the snake on the 17th; Anne Forrester had 10 points on the 1st three holes; Walter Loschi parred the back 9 for the first time; Lyn Cruickshanks had four 3 pointers on the back 9; Elly Van Den Berg had eight 3 pointers; Peter Martin hit a great drive on the 8th for an easy birdie; Jenny Clark had 5/3 on the 13th - the hardest hole for the ladies and a 3 pointer on the 12th; Alvin Clark had a great shot out of the trees on the right hand side of the fairway - over the sand bunkers and onto the green and hit a beautiful 1 wood to the 16th green; my highlight was my drive to the 12th green that I could have, should have and would have got a birdie!!!
