2013 Melbourne Cup Day - What a great day to be at Gosford Golf Club.
The day was cool, a sprinkling of showers but little real rain, good company, fun golf,
complimentary glass of champagne to enjoy with your lunch, a wonderful fashion parade and a great view of the Melbourne Cup Race. What more could we ask for? The day was well organised by our Committee and Social girls for all to enjoy.
My playing partners were Lorraine Bignall, Georgina Lamb & Sandra Innes and we had a great morning of golf with mixed fortunes but enjoyable golf with good company.
The Golf Event of the day was an 8.00am Shotgun Start 4 Person Ambrose which bought us all in about 12.30pm in time to enjoy a nice lunch before the Fashion Parade and Melbourne Cup.
We had 48 starters with one visitor Nola Hilbert from Terrigal.
