We had 44 starters on a very hot day.

BALLS WENT TO:  77 nett on a countback.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Lauren Matterson had a gobbler on the 9th; Lynn Puiatti parred the 8th; Robin Incoll parred the 1st; Sharon Anderson had a birdie on the 6th; Michelle Toth was on the 18th for two and also got a birdie at the 8th; Helen Potter had a birdie at the 8th and the 16th; Michelle Lalor and Wendy Stapleton followed each other all day and were close friends over the 4 rounds of the Championships; Dianne Thomlinson had 10 pars; Robyn Johnston finished with a par; Fay Bailey finished with the same ball she started with; Alice Collett had a good game; Jan Fitzgerald played well enough to win the Championships and had 5 pars; Marianne Lanham had a birdie on the 11th.
