F-Troop - Monday 26th August 2013

We only had a small crew today but managed to get a heap of work done.

We had Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Duncan Dyer, Rob Benson, Martin Gallagher, Warren Gray, Anne Burgess, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.

The tree gang today was Duncan Dyer, Martin Gallagher, Trevor Harrison and Don Nicholls.  They managed to remove two large and 8 small Camphor Laurels from the side of the 5th tee which will allow more sunshine onto the tee area.  Don also did some repair work to the bush toilets and the seating at the BBQ area.

Warren Gray & Rob Benson were on pick up duty and cleaned up loose timber and garden rubbish from all around the course.

Peter Martin, Jan Martin & Di Beechey combined forces to complete the mulching of the hydrangea garden at the 3rd tee, the gardens at the 12th tee, the ladies garden at the 13th, the 2nd tee gardens, Lavender way, the wedding garden including weeding, mulching, watering and trimming. We also added more red gravel to the path in the 13th garden to refresh the area.

Anne Burgess was busy all morning watering multiple gardens around the course including the camellia Way and the 18th garden and the gardens at the clubhouse and 1st and 10th tees.

Morning tea of Giant Iced Buns was very welcome by all.  Thank you Chef John!

Next week we are being judged in the Gosford City Council Garden Competition competing in the "Best Commercial Garden", Best Theme Gardens and the Best Waterwise Garden,  We have had success in the past so we are hopeful of doing well again this year.

YES!  WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

TRAVEL PLANS ARE ON OUR AGENDA NOW SO THE BLOG WILL BE DONE IN TRANSIT OVER THE NEXT 10 DAYS.  There will be places where I will not have Internet access so some of the reports will be late.

HAPPY GOLFING EVERYONE!
