We had a beautiful day for golf - blue skies and sunshine which was very welcome. Our playing partners were Duncan & Rosalie Dyer and we had a fun day on the village green with our biggest highlight being that we squared with the boys for the Keno Ticket after being down by six at the half way mark.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixed Men and Ladies.
We had 68 starters with 6 visitors from Dunheved, Everglades, Taree, Terrigal & Royal Sydney.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Chris Koutsellis had a 4/4 on the 10th & John had 4/4 on the 17th; Mella Weatherstone (Everglades) only missed two fairways all day and had two easy pars; Bert Brink had a birdie 3/4 on the 1st; Clyde Cruickshanks birdied the 2nd and the 5th; David Small had a birdie at the 16th and scored 40 points; Steven Cross got in some nice long putts; Ian Witt & Steven Cross chimed in nicely with their 3 pointers; Jan Walker had a birdie on the 14th; Jan Henebury (playing her first game of golf ever) had a 5/5 on the 6th; Andy Henebury had back to back pars on the 15th & 16th; Michael Norman had 4/4 at the 11th, 4/3 at the 15th, 3/5 on the 17th and 6/3 on the 18th; Tania Burt had a 4 pointer at the 12th and 3 pointers at the 4th and the 14th; Geoff Darkes had birdies at the 14th and the 16th; Joyce Bosely was an improved player; Fred Middleton had a birdie on the 8th; Wally Robertson birdied the 1st hole; Wally Johnston hit a ball on the 17th that went 400 yards up in the air, hit a tree and returned to ground just behind his playing partner Wally Robertson, and then he went on to score 6/2 on the hole; Fraser Bates was an improved player; Lyn Bates was a consistent player; Wendy & Ray Stapleton played well together as Ray remained calm all game - scoring a 4 pointer at the 18th and Wendy had no wipes; Vicki Foster won nearest the pin on the 8th; Fay Bailey had 6 three pointers on the back 9, two birdies on the 2nd & the 6th and she enjoyed good company; Wally Bailey had frats on the 17th & 8th and scored on both holes; Fay Bailey & Vicki Foster beat the boys for the keno ticket; Duncan Dyer parred the 1st and had a great drive to the green on the 12th; Rosalie Dyer & Jan Martin squared the boys for the keno ticket after being down by six at the half way; my only highlights were a 4 pointer at the 4th and a 3 pointer at the 5th.
