F-Troop - Monday 3rd June 2013

It was good to see some sunshine today so that we could work on our projects around the course.

We had nine volunteers - Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Duncan Dyer, Peter Martin, Rob Benson, Martin Gallagher, George Foster, Anne Burgess & Jan Martin.

We were able to take the tractor out on the course so the Tree Gang of Duncan Dyer, Martin Gallagher, George Foster & Rob Benson removed a large dead tree on the 13th.

Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls & Peter Martin repaired the broken cart shed door.

We did not have enough volunteers for a rubbish pick up so that will be on hold until after the long weekend.

Anne Burgess and I worked on the garden at the 2nd green, the tranquility garden at the 6th, picked up loose timber at the 3rd & 5th tees, chalk marked a new garden area at the 14th green & checked the gardens at Camellia Way.

Morning tea of large iced buns and muffins was very welcome after a hard mornings work. Thanks Chef John!

A BIG THANK YOU to Margaret Mackie who donated a cash donation of $100 to go  towards the purchase of some new native plants for our gardens.

Work is proceeding towards the marking of the car parking spaces in all of the parking areas.  This will be another forward project we hope to make a move on soon.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
